My work comes from 55 years of life. I'm a mother of one, stepmother of four, wife and grandmother of 13. I am grateful every day for the love I share with friends, family and life itself. Along with the beauty of my environment, there are ugly times, but they are always overshadowed by the extraordinary.
Without darkness there can be no light
Different things inspire me at different times. Studies of African art, the Renaissance, modern art and individual artists are combined in my work. Over the past thirteen years I have been fortunate in that I have been able to work alongside many world famous artists. They have all shared their knowledge and experience willingly and lovingly. Like all artists, as I continue to experience life, my esthetic reflects those experiences. From my birth in 1953 until November of 2004 I lived in different areas of California. Since moving to Prescott in October, 2004, I have opened my studio to local potters for weekly "Clay Days" and had several world renowned potters come to teach workshops. I continue to invite established artists to teach and offer many classes and workshops teaching techniques I have learned & developed. Through the process of learning and sharing old and new techniques and ideas, I continue to evolve with every artist that crosses my path.
I hope you find something in my work that brings a smile to your heart.
